Welcome to Lizzing My Best Life — Where Fitness, Motherhood, and Sarcasm Collide
Hey there — I’m Liz, and I’m ridiculously excited (and mildly terrified) to welcome you to my little corner of the internet: Lizzing My Best Life.
If you’ve ever tried to fit a workout between preschool drop-off and a work meeting while wondering if “leggings as pants” is still socially acceptable — we’re going to get along just fine.
Who am I?
I’m a 38-year-old mom of two, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a sports performance specialist for the Marine Corps — which sounds very serious because it is. But outside the fancy title, I’m also a yoga instructor, cyclist, runner, and someone who could probably hold a TED Talk on the therapeutic benefits of organizing your pantry and closet.
I’ve been working in the fitness field for 13 years, teaching everything from swimming and running to strength training and yoga. So I’m not just giving you lip service when I say I’ve seen it all!
Why the blog?
Honestly? Because I couldn’t cram everything I wanted to say into a 60-second Instagram Reel. Social media is great for quick tips and pretty pictures, but it doesn’t give me the space to really dive into the stuff that matters — like how to build a realistic fitness routine when you're being pulled in twelve directions... or why that one Amazon find actually is worth the hype.
Lizzing My Best Life is my passion project — a place where I can blend my professional knowledge with my personal experience as a mom, mediocre athlete, and perpetual realist. My goal is to build a community of women who want to feel strong, capable, and supported — without pretending life is perfect, or that you need two uninterrupted hours to “count” a workout.
What can you expect here?
I’m glad you asked (even if you didn’t). Around here, you’ll find:
- Workout plans and fitness tips that actually fit your life — especially if running is your love language
- Real talk about motherhood, motivation, and mental health
- Product finds that make life a little easier (and that I’ve personally tested — no shady links here)
- Wellness advice grounded in science, not influencer nonsense
- Organizing tricks because chaos is inevitable, but clutter doesn’t have to be
- And yes, sarcastic humor, because I refuse to believe everything needs to be “inspirational” to be helpful
What I believe
I believe that moms deserve to prioritize themselves without guilt (does the guilt ever stop? Asking for a friend). I believe that 10 minutes of movement still counts. I believe that you don’t need a six-pack to be strong, and that “all or nothing” thinking is the real enemy of progress. And I definitely believe that no one is thriving without snacks (and sometimes wine).
So if you’re looking for fitness advice that meets you where you are — with a healthy dose of honesty, humor, and practical tips — then welcome home.
Let’s stop trying to be perfect and start showing up as we are. Strong. Smart. Slightly sleep-deprived. And doing our damn best.
Thanks for being here. Let’s get to Lizzing your best life.
💪🏼✨
Liz
